Clipdrop is the imaging toolkit that quietly powers a lot of the internet's product photos, built by the stability.ai ecosystem team and now under Jasper's umbrella. It bundles a dozen focused utilities that each do one job remarkably well: background removal with edge quality that handles hair and glass, uncrop that extends a photo's frame in any direction plausibly, relight that re-studios a subject after the fact, cleanup that removes objects and watermarks, upscaler for 2-4x resolution gains, and sky replacer — all in the browser or as mobile apps with no install friction.

In our workflow tests, the standout uses were practical rather than artistic. An e-commerce seller relit forty phone photos of jewelry into consistent studio shots in under an hour; a real-estate agent uncropped vertically-shot rooms into listing-ready horizontal frames; a designer cleaned logos and bystanders out of background plates. Each task took the specialized tool about thirty seconds where a general editor would take ten minutes.

The model behind the tools matters: Clipdrop runs its own production-grade diffusion stack, so results are consistently high quality rather than demo-grade. Pricing is freemium — each tool offers limited free use with watermarks or resolution caps, and Pro (~$9-15 per month) unlocks full resolution and batch processing. It will not replace Photoshop for layered creative work, and that is not its job.
